ABOUT ME
MY SERVICES
As a licensed Marriage and Family therapist intern, I provide a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings. My goal is to help you build resilience, improve communication, and foster healthy connections within your relationships. I am currently providing counseling services at For the One Counseling in Northwest Reno and am available for consultation and advocacy services through Bethesda Education and Counseling Services.
EXPERIENCE
With over 30 years of experience in social services, education, disability advocacy. ministry and counseling, I have had the privilege of working with diverse clients facing various issues. I have supported individuals and families through life transitions, relationship challenges, spiritual issues and mental health concerns.
EDUCATION & LICENSING
In 2012, I earned a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Nevada Reno, where I gained comprehensive training in psychotherapy and relational dynamics. After a decade of raising a family and working as a school counselor, I decided to complete the hours necessary to get my MFT license. Over the years, I have pursued specialized courses in Gottman's couples counseling, trauma-informed care and Biblical counseling. I hold an intern license with the State of Nevada Board of Examiners for Marriage and Family Therapists & Clinical Professional Counselors. I anticipate being fully licensed in the spring of 2026.
SPECIALTIES
My practice encompasses a wide range of specialties, including working with adults, children, and adolescents. I offer faith based counseling on request. I specialize in addressing relationship issues, stress, trauma, chronic health problems, and developmental disabilities. I also provide individual couples and family therapy to support my clients' unique needs.
